Downtown Auburn for the Enneagram Four

The Individualist, that’s what our Enneagram Four friends are known as. I don’t know too much about the type four, so I did a little extra research on this one. The Fours stand out, they don’t typically do “normal”. They are their own unique self and pride themselves on that. They are authentic, creative, self-aware but can be reserved, too. When reading about the four, I immediately thought about downtown businesses that remind me of these characteristics.

Retail for a Four: Behind the Glass - This was a no brainer! I cannot think of a more “creative” and “unique” business. Behind the Glass is known for their artistic window and store displays. The store itself is full of life and personality that looks nothing like the other boutiques in town. In fact, Behind the Glass opened in downtown over 30 years ago as an art gallery and café! So cool, right? Any Four will find themselves right at home at this local, aesthetically-appealing retailer.

Restaurant for a Four: Esposito’s - This Italian bistro is just as authentic as a type Four. Pastas are made from scratch and truly a work of art. Fours wouldn’t want a chain restaurant, and this is far from it. The atmosphere is moody and romantic and just what a Four desires.

Bonus for a Four: Stamp - So, I know Stamp is known as a retailer, but this merchant is so much more. Stamp offers custom screen printing done right there in their store, allowing a Four to have something made uniquely for them. Stamp also sets themselves apart with their in-store selection of merchandise that is known to be far from ordinary and a little edgy.
