What’s better than an artsy, summer night in downtown Auburn? Join the Auburn Arts Association, City of Auburn/Jan Dempsey Community Arts Center, Caroline Marshall Draughon Center for the Arts & Humanities and Auburn Downtown Merchants Association for SummerNight 2018 on Friday, June 8. A pre-parade will be held at the Center for Arts & Humanities at 5 p.m. with a standing line party and parade, and then the festivities will continue downtown from 6-10 p.m. The parade will start at the Caroline Marshall Draughon Center for the Arts & Humanities at 6 p.m. and will end at Toomer's Corner to officially kick off SummerNight! The event will feature works by local artists, live musical entertainment, and children’s activities. Downtown merchants and businesses will also remain open during the event to give residents a special opportunity to shop and dine downtown. Culinary enthusiasts are also invited to enter their favorite blueberry creation in the Blueberry Bash contest!
