Grab-A-Cart, a local Auburn business, is now officially ready to serve our downtown patrons. The Auburn City Council approved an ordinance which will now allow low-speed vehicles that are street-legal to operate on city roads with a speed limit of 35 mph or less.
The golf carts will begin running this Saturday, September 2nd, for the first home football game. Curt Cope, the manager of Grab-A-Cart, said that they will start off with 15 carts the service will be complementary for the first weekend. Riders are still encouraged to offer a gratuity to the drivers.
Golf carts will be stationed throughout around campus giving fans an opportunity to come shop or dine downtown before or after kickoff. To request a ride, you will call or text 334-707-3006.
