Downtown Auburn is looking a little more colorful these days and The Local Market is a big reason why. This quaint, vibrant shop is owned and operated by local artist, Lauren Duncan. Lauren and her shop are featured in the lasted edition of East Alabama Living and we just couldn't resist bragging on our new downtown business.

What started as a pop-up shop is now a fully operational business open 6 days a week. The store features what Lauren refers to as, "makers" and their goods . You can find anything from homemade cookies to jewelry all made locally in Alabama. The store provides these makers a place to sell their work and cross-promote with other talented individuals in our community.

In addition to these home-made goods, Lauren also offers are wide variety of art classes. Classes appeal to all age groups and are offered frequently. Calligraphy, pet portraits, and watercolor are just a few of the types of classes that are offered.

To find more information about classes or featuring your local goods, visit localmarketauburn.com. You can also find Local Market on Instagram and Facebook. Be sure to grab the latest copy of East Alabama Living to read more about the store and Lauren.
